Rockville Pedigree herd owned by Anthony, Julie & Arran Dockery operate a dual Pedigree herd of Angus & Beef Shorthorn, The farm is based just a few miles from Elphin, Co Roscommon an area that is renowned for suckler farms and beef finishing. The Dockery family grow up with Pedigree cattle on the farm from a young age.

The Rockville herd was established in 1998, since then the herd has had many successful showing days and some exceptional sale days with much demand for Rockville bloodlines at the Irish Angus Society Elite Sales held in Carrick-on-Shannon.

Rockville T Jovanna 482 is a stylish homebred in-calf heifer displaying power and breed characteristics. Jovanna is sired by Borrow Tiger a son of HF Rebel 53Y himself sired by Castleard Great. Proven bloodlines within the breed.

Jovanna dam line hails from a great cow line with many generations retained in the herd going back to Coney Island Legend & Shankhill Mick. Jovanna was served on 8th January 2022 to Drumcarbin Prince Mambo (AA5479) and is scanned in-calf.

Jovanna is genotyped, & myostatin free. She is docile, outwintered, not over fleshed and is sure to make a good breeder.

Rathgowney Handsome 867 is a real traditional type beef shorthorn displaying all the qualities of the breed, He is a very well made bull with a super head, feet and locomotion. He is easy fleshing with great thickness throughout whilst maintaining nice softness and is extremely placid.

Handsome, pedigree leaves him a 5-star replacement figure with below-average calving figures. His sire Rockville John Joe has a formidable old Irish bloodline with Glasgeivnagh (Gerald McCann) & Knockanedan (John Joe Conway) lines coming together to produce Rockville John Joe the sire of Handsome.

He is genotyped, Handsome 867, is a bull suitable for pedigree, beef or dairy herds and is sure to leave his mark.
