UR Not Alone is very kindly donated by Shane & John Murphy (Mercury Aberdeen Angus)
Mercury Ur Not Alone is the first son of our stock bull Coraghy Steel, who is proving to be an exceptional breeder. Steel is sired by former stock bull Luddenmore Just the Business whose first five daughters averaged over €4,500. Steels dam is Mercury J Flora which sold for €8,100 in 2018.
His dam Macchina Blackbird P005 was imported from England and offers an outcross on her sire side while still going back to the famous Coldstream Blackbird 9G. Topping off this pedigree, Ur Not Alone is backed by figures ranking in the top 1% within and across breeds for Dairy Beef Index at €113.
Mercury UR not Alone bull is quite special in the fact that he was born the morning of Darkness into Light 2021. When many were out walking for suicide, this bull took his first breath. Hence the name that followed - Ur Not Alone. Given the moment of his birth, it was always our intention that the proceeds from his sale would go to a worthy cause.
100% of the sale price for Ur Not Alone will be donated to Peta House, Darkness into light suicide awareness event taking place on the 7th May 2022.

The Mercury herd was established in 2007 by Shane and John Murphy. Since day one the focus has been on family lines coupled with the best available bulls. A strict culling protocol means that only the very best and most productive females remain in the herd. This has led to some exceptional results in both show and sale rings. Most recently was December when 11-month-old Mercury Red Unbeatable Kim sold for a new Irish and European Red Angus record price of €13,200.
Other sale successes include; Mercury J Flora - €8,100 Top Angus price in Ireland 2018! Mercury Lovely Tinge - €8,000, and her nine-month-old bull calf Mercury Royal Tinge sold to Dovea AI for €5,500. This was the top Angus male price in Ireland in 2018.
The herd has also claimed championships at all major shows including the Irish Aberdeen Angus national calf show, Irish Angus All-Irelands, Irish Aberdeen Angus All-Irelands and Tullamore show. Mercury Keifer also secured the overall bull calf championship at the Aldi ABP All-Ireland finals in 2014
