Beef Shorthorn Breeding Bulls

The sale is now live now for the purchase of seven young breeding bulls bred by Hi-Health Shorthorn Society Members from across the UK.
Pedigree Sales who are hosting the online sale have kindly offered to donate the seller's fee of £50,00 for each animal sold online to the fundraiser for the "Youth Element of the World Shorthorn Conference". 
The sale bulls include: 

Lot 6 AGHALUN MACE

Mace is a long natural easy fleshing bull, very correct on his feet and has never been clipped. His progeny are soft easy fleshing and can be seen on the farm. His bloodline is a mixture of Irish & UK breeding with Chapelton & Glenisla sires in the mix. Mace has produced fantastic coloured calves, with plenty of breed character & style.

Lot 9 LINHILL PEARCE

Linhill Pearce is an example of choosing a select proven sire as he is a direct son of Fearn Wyvis with his grandmother being from the Rothes cow family and a daughter of Glenisla Zinzan, himself a son for Wyvis. Truly exceptional breeding on both sides of Linhill Pearce.  Myostatin Free, Terminal Index +39, Self Replacing Index +39 (breed Average +27)

Lot 10 LAGAS OSCAR

 

Lagas Oscar is a stylish, head-turning bull. Fantastic dark roan Shorthorn. He's a real meat machine that will produce easy fleshing progeny, His Sire, Pentland Emperor was an impressive specimen winning the Shorthorn championship at the Orkney show for a number of years and was crowned overall champion in 2016. Emperor a son of Chapelton Wildfire whos a full brother to ChapeltonTyphoon, proven back breeding that is known from Orkney to Cork and everywhere in between.

Lot 11 LAGAS OZZIE

 

Lagas Ozzie is a smart, stylish young bull, a beautiful dark roan colour, modern frame size and ideal bull to be used on heifers. His sire Castlemount Kennedy was interbred Native performance champion and reserve overall breeds at RUAS 2017. Ozzie does not carry any myostatin. 

Lot 12 LISNAMANNY PIERS

 

Lisnamanny Piers is a 21-month-old award-winning Pedigree Shorthorn Bull born in the Glens of Antrim to the Lisnamanny Herd, this exceptionally well-balanced bull has always caught the eye. The progeny of excellent genetics - Sired by Fearn Wyvis, Piers is an outstanding modern bull oozing power, performance and style. 

Lot 14 HANSFORD PEGASUS (P)

 

Hansford Pegasus is a good, shapely bull with strong legs, good feet, a small head, style and potential. His Pedigree line is impressive going back to Fearn Godfather, who is in the top 1% of the breed for Selection Indexes and Carcase Weight. Pegasus has natural growth, good EBVs and one copy of E226X

Lot 15 HANSFORD PERCY (P)

 

Percy is a deep fleshy bull with plenty of length and style, a good topline and a small head. He has great EBV's like his father Coldrochie Leroy and is a real meat machine. Leroy is a gentle giant, a real powerhouse with a docile temperament, which has clearly been passed down to Percy. Percy's Dam, Hansford Lulu is a traditional, feminine milky cow. Percy is her 1st calf, and what a bull he has turned out to be! Percy has natural growth and is grazed in a flower meadow.

Lot 16 WESTMOOR PROPHET

 

Westmoor Prophet is a deep-bodied red roan bull with great breed character & EBVs to match. Terminal Index +45 Self Replacing Index +50 Maternal (GBP) +31 these figures are off the radar compared to breed average, Prophet is in the top 1% self-replacing & maternal index of the breed, Don't be fooled by the rawness Prophet hails from a herd that demands their cattle proforms from permanent pasture on an upland farm. Data Statistics on Prophet's sire is correlated from 92 progeny across 5 herds, his grandsires data produced from 219 progeny across 13 herds, (BROUGHTON PARK THUNDER) & (MILLERSTON DOLOMITE) these figures are the real deal. Prophet's Dam line is non-other than the timeless and protected Augusta cow family.
